I am not sure why I used an F3 version of RS Prime to make this cross but somewhere along the line I elected to do just that. Grandpas Heart is a cross of Coastal Pride Orange and RS Prime. Though I had hoped to find a version a bit more colorful, the version you see pictured here is what sugared off. An Indt. dwarf variety that produces well and never really tops 4’ in my garden. These fruit tend to be more acidic than sweet, but do make great sauce and their stronger acid flavor cuts through ina a salad or sandwich. Several versions were being grown and my parents decided to grow a few plants in 5 gallon buckets at their condo in Florida. This is the version that they preferred. I hope that you enjoy.
