This is a cross I made of VT16 to Moonlight Mile, a variety stabilized by Blane Horton. Blane has always been a gardening mentor to me. From the early days of Tomato Depot, he was always there to advise me and when I started to dabble in making crosses, he was always there as a sounding board, initial grower and advocate/ally. Was only fitting that after stabilizing this fruit that I would name it in honor of him. This is a variety where the outside does not really match the intensity of the color inside. I do find this segregate to be a bit seedy at times, but always with great stripe patterning and flavor. The added bonus of varigeated leaves makes it extree fun.
