Color Chart Fun

I am asked all the time about the color of tomatoes. A long time ago… and in a forum long abandoned, members created the color chart I am going to post here. I use this as the basis for determining how I list a fruit and its colors. The thing I like about this chart is it does do a pretty decent job of defining the sometimes blurry line between things like, what makes a fruit “yellow” vs “White” or Pink vs Red. I think we rely a lot on our eyes and not enough on science … if you call this science but it is a bit more empirical that the subjectivity we are left with if we do not use something like this.
